Job Description

We are looking for people to help us with the set-up and take-down of Saboten-Con. Duties for this position include:

  • Assisting with unloading, moving and loading of convention equipment.
  • Setting-up and taking-down pipe and drape in the vendor hall and main events rooms.
  • Helping with special event set-up in panel and main events rooms (e.g. Masquerade, Rave, cosplay chess, etc.).

You must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs. You must be available work “Day 0” Thursday, starting at 8am. You will also need to be available to stay late on Monday, until everything is packed (could be as late as 11pm). The majority of the hours worked for this job will be on Thursday and Monday - giving you more time to enjoy the con - with a few short shifts between events for quick setup/teardown as needed. Final schedule for this position will not be made available until programming schedule is finalized (typically a few weeks before the convention starts).



This is a barter position, which means you will be bartering your time with this company in return for items of equal value. This can include badge(s), vouchers for merchandise, and vouchers for meals. The amount you receive as barter will depend on the hours that you work during the event. The barter system is a legal payment process documented by the IRS.
